Community Development Manager

The Balsall Heath Forum is seeking to appoint a Community Development Manager for 2-3 days per week to manage its Birmingham City Council funded Local Innovation Fund project.

The role of the Manager is to develop a partnership between the Sparkbrook and Balsall Heath Forums in order to create a social action hub that uses deliberative democracy to activate and mobilise local people, co-produce community-led solutions to long standing complex problems, and develop sustainable community infrastructure.

An understanding of the voluntary sector is essential along with experience of supporting volunteer boards, managing community projects and a proven ability to devise and implement project plans.

The post is fixed term for one year and the salary is £25k pro rata. The closing date for applications is 14th April and interviews will be held on 1st May.
